Just wondered if anyone has monitored their progesterone levels after coming off IVF support drugs.
Knowing what an important hormone progesterone is to support pregnancy, I was wary about stopping those drugs at 12 weeks, so I’ve reduced rather than stopped, and done some private tests to monitor.
However at 13w3days my progesterone level is less than it was 2 weeks earlier. I’d hoped it would have still increased due to the placenta function. (At 11w3d on the full drugs = 112nmol/L and two week later, after halving doses = 83.7nmol).
I’m hoping this isn’t much to worry about and down to withdrawal from the drugs, but does seem a fair drop and on the lowish side for second trimester. Tried to get through to the midwife but just goes to answerphone.
Any thoughts appreciated!
