Hi. I had one 10 months ago to speed up labour as baby wasn't keen to arrive in the world. It was fine. It felt a bit strange but not painful when they were putting the balloon in. The most strange thing was having tubes hanging down all day. I had to get be a bit careful when going to the loo. But I was fine walking around and doing normal things. It helped dilate the cervix but only to about 4 or 5 cm in the end.
