Baby does not want to drink from bottle

Hello all,

As the title says, .y son (10 months) does not want to drink milk from a bottle during the day and I am looking for some tipps what to do.

I was breastfeeding him exclusively until we started weaning, although at night he sometimes had expressed milk which he drank. He is a good eater and he still gets milk at 7am at 9.30am and in the evening and at night. I want to stop breastfeeding so I tried introducing a bottle for his second feed in the morning, but he just refuses it. But he drinks a lot from the breast. on some days, I just did nit give him milk and he was ok, but I dont want him to drink even more milk at night, especially.as he just started to drop 1 night feed.

It is not the bottle as he does drink from.it at night. We tried with different people, but that was not the solution. I tried from a cup (he loves drinking water from a cup) but he refused as well.

Any tipps appreciated.

Hey he will be cutting down on feeds now don’t worry as long as he ain’t crying in hunger he’s ready to drop feeds my little boy only had two bottles at nine months health visitor said he was content so not to stress try and include dairy in his diet thru cheese yogurt stuff like that xx

Have you tried with a Doidy cup? Bf babies respond better to that type of cup. Other than that I think ali1009 is right, he'd cry out in hunger if he really needed it, I think he probably wants you for comfort. You could call HV to see if they got any other advice x
