Meeting other mummas?

Hi, I'm Sally and I'm 25 years old. I have an 8 week old little girl and a 3 and half year old step daughter. I have recently moved to Banbury before this pandemic and was hoping that having groups to attend with my girls, I would be able to meet other mummys in the area. Not just for me but for my girls to have some friends to play with. Obviously, this lockdown period has been very restricting for parents to meet each other. Because of this, unfortunately I have been left feeling quite isolated as my 'friends' don't have kids so, they have basically lost interest as our common ground is just not there anymore. I just wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat? If so, are there any socially distanced events happening that I don't know about? Or scheduled? I would love to meet you all. I hope this post doesn't sound sad or desperate but I thought I would post on here because it's a bit shit on your own all day with no adult interaction. Love my girlies to pieces but there is only so much of Mr tumble I can take 🤦 xxx

Your post doesn't sound desperate or sad, it's tough being on your own not being able to do the usual groups/socials. I just downloaded the Peanut app, it's a social network for Mums basically. If you put your location in it will suggest other Mums nearby to connect with, it's quite good 🙂

Thank you, i'll have a look at that app. Never heard of it ☺️

Nope not alone! I have a ten week old girl and I feel exactly the same as most of my friends don’t have children so we have less in common! Unfortunately I live in Glasgow so can’t pop out to meet you for a coffee 😂 but just know that we are all in the same boat!

Ahh that is a shame! Well I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. ❤️

Hey! Have you tried the apps peanut or mush? They're very good to meet other mums in your area among other things. It's tricky with the lockdown but maybe you can ar least connect with some women for now xx

Oh and many of us are on the same boat. Lots of hugs for you x
