Hi...
I'm going to be 46 on 10/21/2015, and I just found out that my husband and I are expecting. Was just wondering if there were any other moms out there, that are pregnant and in their mid 40's as well? Would LOVE to meet you and chat.

I was 41 when I had my little man. It was lovely x
Hi
I will be 45 next month and had my little girl 6 months ago ( I was 43 at conception). Be ready for midwives asking you if you've had IVF - one doctor actually put 'IVF baby' on my notes. One midwife exclaimed ' Oh my god I've just seen your age!'
Any questions please drop me a line - I wish you a very happy pregnancy!
Hi..
I'm so happy for you. I have 2 older children from my 1st marriage. My daughter will be 20 in January. She is currently in her 2nd year of college. My son is 17 and is a senior in high school. I just got remarried in January of 2015. My husband was never married before and does not have any children of his own. We are both very excited, to say the least. This was truly a GOD thing. Not expected at all. No IVF as well. I am going through having negative after negative hpt's as well as a blood test. My doctor said that it's pretty common for that to happen, just because everyone is different. Not a lot of people really know that. I'm going in for an ultrasound in a few weeks, to make sure all is going well. Being that this is my 3rd, and only 5weeks, I look like I'm 4 months pregnant. I'm waiting to tell my kids, as well as family members, after my ultrasound. Although, looking like I'm 4 months along, is going to raise a lot of questions I'm sure. ♥
It's fantastic news for you both but nerve wracking at such an early stage I know.
I only found out I was pregnant when I went in for an op on my wrist and the nurse did a test just before taking me to theatre. I was only 6 weeks then and had no idea - thought I was going through an early menopause (we'd had 2 failures at IVF 4 or 5 years ago so had given up hope).
I can see you have had lots of replies and will get lots of support from this group and you'll get lots of extra scans which I found really helpful - less time to worry between scans.
Best of luck to you all. xx
Hi im 41 with my second baby (other one is 13 LOL) im 33 weeks and apart from the continuous reference to how OLD I am, its been great. Good Luck x
Hi,
I'm a 42 yr old / young first time mummy - now just about to make it to 37 weeks tomorrow 😃
Xx
Congratulations! I had baby number 11 last year at 43 and we are now trying for another! I had a great pregnancy tho bit more tired than with the others - there is a six year gap between number 10and 11! Enjoy your pregnancy and keep in touch if you need anything x
Thank you so much, Ronnie. Good luck on number 12! Keep me posted, on when that happens! How EXCITING!! ♥
Congratulations!, I'm 42 and pregnant with my 1st, will be 28 weeks on Friday and would love to keep in touch. Loving the NHS care for the "geriatric" mum to be as have another 3 scans booked which means I get to see Junior more before he/she arrives and the benefit of Consultant care can only be a good thing in my eyes. Look forward to hearing from you and keeping in touch. xx
Congratulations to you as well. How exciting, your 1st little bundle of sweetness! Yes, the scans are wonderful. I would always look forward to them, with my other two. I would love to keep in touch. I love meeting new friends. Especially when they are going through such a wonderful time in their life. Hope to hear from you soon. ♥
Hi I m 46 and expecting first baby as well, good to know there are other mums that are same age as me (almost)
Hello,
Im 46 as well and just found out im pregnant w twins and a bit scared. Had my 6 week scan because i was cramping and spotting but all looked ok and saw the heartbeats. I have another scan next week to make sure all is still going ok since i keep hearing about vanishing twin syndrome, but im still kind of in disbelief and wonder if my body can handle this??!!
TWINS!!! God Bless You! I'm so glad to hear that everything looks ok and that you got to see those 2 precious bundles hearts beat. That's always such a wonderful experience. Don't be scared, everything will turn out great, you'll see. Us women, we're WONDERWOMEN!! Right?!?! Our bodies can handle anything. I say, "Bring It On"!! Please keep me posted on your progress! ♥
YAY I love that you posted this! I'll be 43 when I deliver in March! I have two kids from a previous relationship who are 12 and 14, we're all very excited, happy, feeling blessed, but the 'worries' get to me at times! I stress about stress,..lol..
Can't believe it at 17 weeks since I feel great and because of anterior placenta, feeling some bubbles and flutters here and there but not as strong as last time? maybe just too early,...
It is so confidence inspiring to hear about many ladies over 40 having healthy pregnancies and babies, keep it coming!!
Congratulations!! and hugs to all!!
Hi there, I was 45 in August and my first baby is due 27th November 2015. Feel sometimes like I am the only older mum to be, but I am surprised how many of us out there there are. Good luck x
Congrats Smilein on your pregnancy. I'm sure all will be well. I expected to be old (but young looking - many think I'm 25 tops) first time mum when I was expecting at nearly 38. I am now 39 & our little boy is 6 months old tomorrow.
One of my NCT class friends (there are 14 of us, as 2 of us did postnatal class too) is 47 with a nearly 7 month old boy. They did have IVF & had to wait 5 years for him so she loves being new mum & we love her. Most of others are early 30s & a couple late 20s, so it is anything goes with us, no judgement. Only 1 of the 14 had another toddler already.
I say you are an inspiration!
Hopefull13, congrats also & don't worry, 1 or 2 babies there is no manual so just have to try your best. My sister is expecting twins at mo too, in March 2016. She is type 1 diabetic so found out at clinic early scan (6.5 weeks) & told us Aug 15th. She had her proper first (12 week) scan at 13 weeks on 28th Sept. She is 28 though so hopefully bit easier.
I am so similar to you. I gave 2 other boys from a previous relationship, they are 20 and 18 next month, they are also godfathers to my little one. Age is only a number. I remember going to an antenatal appointment which my eldest son came with me, a couple were sat there looking at us and whispering, I said I'm sure they think you're my toy boy, he said I don't care what they think, I was so proud. Why should we be treated any different when nobody Bats an eyelid at a pregnant 16 year old x
Hi there, huge congratulations to you both. I was 45 in July and three years ago was told I would never conceive, a month later I did and sadly our little one was lost at 11 weeks after he/she stopped growing at 9 weeks. Today though I am 26 weeks +5 days and we are expecting a boy. Still in shock I think with moments of true excitiement mixed with terror :-)))).
AWWWW, Chicken1970,
I'm so sorry for you loss. But, OVERJOYED with coming of your wonderful baby boy!! I, myself, was VERY shocked and excited as well. I can certainly relate to your feelings of being scared tool. Good luck to you and your family. Please, keep me posted, if you don't mind? ♥
Not all Smilein, it would be my pleasure.. Over the weekend breathlessness seems to have joined me, plus I got the works cold on top so it's all taking it's toll a bit :-)).
How are you feeling? Xx
A massive congrats to you and your husband, and to all you other ladies expecting too. Wishing you all a happy and healthy pregnancy.
Hugs, Shelley x x
Wonderful inspiring stories, giving us all hope that one day it might still happen ! Congratulations to you all x
I've really enjoyed reading these posts! I'm 40 and just found out I'm pregnant. We started trying a few months ago and I was not expecting it to be this quick! (I have PCO too). I'm trying not to get too excited until I've had a scan but that's proving difficult! You hear lots of negative stories about 'older' mums, so it's good to hear the other side of the story from those who know xxx
Hi, Joey19...
I'm so excited for you. Just know that low HCG levels are more common ( Not just in older women) but all around. Here is a GREAT site, that I really enjoy going to and reading women's stories. I find it very helpful. babycenter.com/400_negative... It keeps me positive, that things are going to be just fine. We all know our bodies!! Anyway, keep posted on your progress. Congrats to you, and keep positive!! ♥
Thanks smilein! I'll check it out xx
My pleasure, Joey19! ♥
