Tooth ache

Hi everyone. I’m 22 weeks pregnant with a horrible tooth ache, I’ve been told it sounds like I have periodontal disease which is gum disease and apparently very common in pregnancy. I’ve been using paracetamol and clove oil for pain, rinsing with corsodyl and salt water. I called 111 and they told me that if it’s not better in a few days then I may need to be seen by someone but I’m just frustrated with the constant pain, worried about taking paracetamol and clove oil and I’ve also read that tooth issues can effect the baby. Has anyone else had this? What did you do? Thank you
