My LG is 4 months and drinking 7oz every 2 1/2- 3 hours I’m trying my hardest to make her wait 4 but it just isn’t happening, she’s been sick little bits pretty much after every bottle so I know she’s getting to much be if I don’t give her it she screams! Has anyone else every had this issue?? What’s everyone else babies drinking and how often

My LG definitely had that every few hours when she was that old xx
So it’s normal?? I just read that it should be every 4 hours it’s just with her being sick I assumed she is drinking to much
I was always told if they drain and bottle go up an ounce. Then maybe she might go a little longer. Maybe worth a try x
She never drains a bottle always leave at least half an oz I tried to up to 8 and she didn’t even touched it x
Ah ok then. Maybe speak to your HV. My LG went through phases where she sicked up but wasn’t a regular occurrence x
Is she sleeping through at night? If so, she might just be filling up to get her through. My first fed that regularly and then slept through 12 hours which I much preferred! My second is 8 weeks but is every 2.5/3 hours atm and sleeping longer stretches at night so I think it’s pretty normal. I keep reminding myself that babies can’t tell the time haha! Xx

Is she being burped several times during a feed? My little one is sometimes fed breast milk from a bottle and is always sick after if she is not burped 2 or 3 times during the feed. HV said this is because she can guzzle it down quick and then the milk sits on top of the gas in her small stomach, then when burped afterwards would bring milk back up with the gas. HV also said stop the feed after an ounce or two, burp, then put the teat on their nose, if they are still hungry they will open their mouth.
I’d also say ignore the 4h thing, if she’s hungry then she obviously needs it and trying to make her go longer will just make her more cranky. The hungrier she is the faster she will drink and the more sick she will be!
