I’m 19 weeks pregnant tomorrow and today I think I’ve come down with a sickness bug. Every time I eat or drink something I’m throwing it back up soon after. I’m really worried about the baby and if it’s safe and not harmed, just looking for some advice or if I should do anything? I’m a care assistant and one of my clients weren’t well last week and I told my manager if I could be taken out but they refused and I now think I’ve caught the bug and just worried as this is my first pregnancy and haven’t got my next scan until 2 weeks time... thanks!

Pregnant and sickness bug
just keep an I on yourself if you feel to bad try and ring out of hours gp or your maternity ward see what they say x
I got a sickness bug when I was about 14 weeks. You need to get as much rest as you can. Keep on top and of hygiene by washing hands often and not sharing towels with other family members, and just get yourself to bed. Sip water often, it'll make it easier to hold down.
I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. Yes a bug can be dangerous in pregnancy but they are more common than people think. You (and the baby) are more likely to be ok than not. I was freaking out too.
Hope you feel better soon.
I had a sickness bug whilst pregnant too, couldn't hold anything down for just over a week ! I managed to take sips of water throughout the day and eat the occasional handful of plain, dry cereal. But deffo drink the water as if you’re throwing up a lot it will make you dehydrated which isn’t good for you or baby, if you’re really worried don’t wait til your scan go to docs as soon as you can, better to be safe than sorry x
I had a stomach bug early in my pregnancy, no sick but everything else! Just make sure you keep hydrated, that's the most important thing and get lots of rest. Try to eat simple foods like toast or crackers but the main thing is hydration. Call your GP or midwife if you're worried but baby should be fine. X
Call your dr or midwife, but dont go to the mat ward with D & V. Like others have said, keep hydrated, rest, it will pass and baby will be fine.
