Has anyone experienced low blood pressure during pregnancy?
During my booking appointment my midwife said I had extremely low bp and would need to keep a close eye on me.
I’m just a little worried as my bp was fine with my first so this is new to me, midwife didn’t say much so I have no idea if I should be worried or if it’s common.
Just looking for a little advice/guidance from anyone who’s had this and what effects it will have on my pregnancy/baby, thanks in advance x

Mine was extremely low. It’s low anyway but went down even more in pregnancy. Basically the risk is fainting so to avoid this you need to stay very well hydrated at all times and go slowly when moving from lying to sitting or sitting to standing. Don’t go straight from lying to standing. I also chose to avoid hot baths.
I never did faint and had no problems in pregnancy but when it came to labour they had to put me on a fluid drip to keep my blood pressure up and afterwards I had to stay in a few days because my blood pressure was very low but I had lost a lot of blood. Once again the solution was fluids- more drip but also I was told to keep drinking and it worked. So get yourself a big water bottle and keep it by you xx
