Teething and a cold
Go to drs with him because it’s always better to get them checked. Do you have a thermometer? Is he feeding?
Honestly not much the doctor can do ... (if you are sure it's just a cold and teething that is)
Saline drops can help with a stuffy nose, as for teething apart from what you are using maybe try a teething ring. In what way is he struggling? Does he settle after the calpol?
Try Anbesol liquid instead of the granules for the teething pain. You apply it directly to the gum.
in addition to saline drops, you could also put some olbas oil or vapour rub (from the colds and flu section) on a muslin/toilet paper/kitchen roll and put close to him to inhale
Anbesol liquid is good for teething as it contains lidocaine which has an anaesthetic property. Teethers you put in the fridge helped for us. My little one has had so many colds I tried olbas oil in a bowl and also a calpol vapour plug in but the plug in was quite expensive. Snuffle baby on chest and soles of feet. I also elevated the mattress in the cot to help her breathe better at night. Hope you find something that helps xx
Saline drops for the stuffy nose, air humidifier in his bedroom and also bring him into the bathroom when you’re having a bath/shower as the steam helps.
