Hello everyone, I'm reaching out so that maybe can help me understand I found out I was pregnant with fraternal twins(Di/Di) around 5wks (I'm 16 wks now) they have their own everything I have a ultrasound 2wks ago babies were fine strong heartbeats the works, a week ago I went to the hospital because I was dehydrated but the babies were still fine well 2 days ago I woke up to me thinking I was pissing (in my sleep) only to find a huge puddle of blood so I was rushed to the hospital, when I first got there both babies were fine heartbeats going so they do they procedure of checking u but it was done so rough I was literally crying I've never experienced that before, which I get a pap smear every year I didn't understand why so much pain when I didn't have ANY at all I didn't notice I was having contractions till after the procedure was done with then they come back like 30mins later saying Baby B no longer had a heartbeat and I was completely devastated, then they say they can't remove the "dead baby" and I was shocked as to just how blunt it was said I'm like he's still my lil boy so done refer to him as such then they go even further as to saying Baby A health as mine is in jeopardy like there's no chance for a healthy pregnancy cause 1 twin is gone and if it starts to decompose then my pregnancy will be terminated.... If I miscarried 1 twin does it not pass thru the body as a normal miscarriage would? I'm just so lost and my doctors were just so non compassionate just making it seem like I need to give up can somebody understand what I'm saying
Just lost and confused: Hello everyone... - Pregnancy and Par...
Just lost and confused
So sorry to hear you're going through this hun.
I don't know how it works but a friend of mine was carrying twins. 1 of her babies passed away during the pregnancy. The other twin was still okay and was born healthy.
I know it doesn't really help your situation but I just want to give you a bit of hope!
Wishing you all the best ❤
No unfortunately it won't work like a normal miscarriage as your body knows you are still pregnant a normal miscarriage your body sheds all contents of your womb. It can't do that in this case as you are still pregnant. With the case of twins sometimes the twin who doesn't make it is absorbed back into the lining of the womb. Sometimes it can have an adverse effect. I'm afraid it's a case of preparing yourself for the worst while holding onto hope.
I wish you all the best and hope things work out for you xxx
