Gyneacologist appointment & TTC

Hi everyone!

I'm 23 years old, I've been trying to conceive for 1 year and half now without a success. I have my first appointment with the Gynea tomorrow. I never been in one before. I'm just wondering does anyone know what to expect?

I would imagine they'll go through your history, ask about gynae history history of stis etc and examine you.

As for tests bloods tests would include hormone profiles plus anything specific that comes up from you history, possibly certain antibodies related to infertility, an ultrasound would also be first line, and possibly things like vaginal swabs.

Had your partner had sperm analysis? That's something that needs to be looked into too as obv. Takes two to tango!

I think the important thing is to ask where you don't understand something rather than remain in doubt.

Thank you dear for your reply. My husband haven't done the sperm analysis yet. He's still waiting for the appointment which is in 2weeks time. My appointment is today, i'm abit nervous. As you said, i'll try to ask some questions. One again thanks for your advice xx

i have nothing to add ontop of what others have said but there is a great fertility network forum on here where you will get more advice and emotional support x
