Sun Cream....
Hiya rach
There is so many brands of sun cream these days it is easy to become spoilt for choice but I when I went on holiday in 2012, I found the boots brand sun cream to be really good especially for my son who was then 3 yrs old as I was worried about his skin peeling & getting a bit burnt in the sun.
I just carried it around with us everywhere we went & applied it roughly every 4 hours.
It was also quite good in price as some & most of the sun creams now can be quite pricey indeed.
xx
Hi, when we went away we used a mix between Nivea kids and ambre solaire kids both were great but we got the ambre solaire one that comes out blue so you can see where you have put it or more to the point the bits you missed lol. Hope this helps and have a great holiday x
Thanks! I just feel a bit bamboozled! Lol will be getting one of those uv sun suits too! Like the idea of the blue one! Like you say abenaa, they are so expensive as well! Might have to have a trip to boots and see what's on offer! I'm tempted to think (like with mist things) that they are all pretty much the same! xx
Hi
Can you tell me what a "uv sun suit" is? Where can I find them?
Thanks.
Most shops sell them, they are like baby wetsuits and are made with fabric that offers a complete uv block.

We also used one of the sun shades that covered the buggy all over so our son could have a nap during the day in complete shade no matter where we were or what we doing, it was also great at night after we had our meal he went down to sleep until we got back to the room to Put him to bed x
Hi hun I used Avon kids factor50 xx
I've always used nivea factor 50 and my kids have never burnt the all in ones are great too or a cheap t shirt and I've always put a cap on them the glare of the pool can be bright as well as the heat on their heads. .. have a lovely hols x
Factor 50 I think is a given, but I always look for the bottles with the UVA star rating. Think in the last 5/10 years each company have placed their rating on their bottles out of 5 stars on their ability to protect against ageing and cancers, and not just the sun factor. I have an Ambre Solaire which is 5 star, but my Nivea is only 3.
Think this is probably where the difference in pricing occurs but most people I mention this to have never even noticed the star rating.
Do Ultrasun do one for kids so its just applied once maybe? Only thinking how I hate sun lotion & sand being rubbed into skin. I am also sun sensitive and hate anything that sits on the skin and not absorbed. X
Lovea if you want factor 50 biggreensmile.com/products/...
Or Lavera or Green People, but they only go up to factor 25/30,which tbh is fine for most people. Depends if you/your baby is very fair skinned.
Don't use high-street store sun creams because they contain nasty chemicals and are carcinogenic. Look for mineral based and natural sun cream.
Most definitely boots soltan all day cream. It really does last 8 hours or go for the water play one for 3 hours. Has done well on five foreign holidays now!
