I'm a nurse and work long hours on my feet, bump getting very uncomfortable at 25weeks today! Dreading my 12hour shift today so looking at getting a bump band to support my back and bump for myong working hours.
Asked Google. Wow. There are millions of them out there! I don't know anyone that's used them, only people have suggested them on NCT forums online but no one has any links or recommendations yet.
Can anyone recommend a good one? There are fabric ones on the Asda website but then there are ones ones that you strap on that look a bit intimidating!
And suggestions greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance 😘😘

I don’t know about bump bands to support but if your looking at the ones from Asda I think you are they are mainly just for that stage between tight trousers but bump not big enough for maternity trousers. They are used so you can cover up if you have your button undone so don’t think they will support your back.
Have you spoken to your midwife? I knew someone who was a nurse and saw physio via the midwife and ended up with something similar to help xx
Ah thank you, they do look a bit flimsy! I think I need one of the ones that's like a brace type thing. I got a number for physio last week from midwife and left them a message so hopefully they can get back to me soon. Thanks so much for your reply xx
eBay second hand as they’re quite pricey, but you can get them direct from the belly bandit website or amazon I believe? The size guides are really easy to use
I’m a healthcare assistant and I have a bump band belt. I brought from eBay, I didn’t wanna spend a lot incase didn’t work, so thought il try a cheap from eBay and it’s brilliant, was only about £6. you put round lower back and under bump. It’s brilliant, really helped with my lower back and hip pain. Only wear it when starting to hurt.
Do you have the link or remember the seller? It's crazy for how much we are on our feet, so glad it's helped you. Some of them are so expensive! Thanks so much for replying x
I bought one from jojo maman bebe. I needed it quite quickly as I realised days before a concert I wasn't going to be comfortable standing during it. It was about £30 but worth it. I used it a handful of times as I didn't need it all the time. I've since lent it to a friend.
