Hi, I'm about 6 weeks pregnant I think, and whilst having revelled in the previous weeks of lovely clear skin, I am now breaking out all over. The spots mean serious business! I read you're meant to avoid salicylic acid which means my Clearasil toner is out. Has anyone got any good skin clearing tips?

Tips for skin care
I'm now 19weeks and my skin is SO MUCH better, but I had the same thing as you. Basically, I got my teenage skin back and had loads of spots on my forehead & chin.
I carried around a pack of Nivea cleansing face wipes (or whatever your chosen moisturiser/cleanser brand) in my bag and wiped my face at about lunchtime, and also early evening -in addition to usual cleansing and moisturising in the morning and before bed. It took a couple of weeks to see a sign of improvement but it definitely helped -plus also helped to freshen me up during the day. It was surprising/disturbing how 'grubby' the face wipes were after use! :S
Hmm, just read that actually small amounts in a toner used 1-2 a day should be OK, so maybe I'm worrying about nothing. But tips appreciated anyway!
Thanks Queenie! It would be nice to go makeup free really, but I might scare everyone at work! LOL
If it's that bad or getting worse then pop to ur g.p they can prescribe some stuff. . There are loads of different meds for bad skin and ur dr will know if they are safe to use in pregnancy and it's free!
