Hi guys, I'm looking for the best baby products for the skin that equally suits black babies. I gave birth 6weeks ago and have been using Johnson's products on my baby, but found out that it wasn't the best product for her. She has dried skin and rashes and patches on her body. Please I need help.

Palmers are good. My godmother who's black brought her son up on Palmers coco butter. They have a baby range now too. Also maybe think about not using too much chemical based products go for natural a splash of olive oil in the bath helps too. Shea butter. Xx

Very good mousturizers I'm mixed skin and find regular products dry out my skin. Shea butter in this weather is really helpful. Hope your little ones skin improves soon x

My baby had some dry patches and a rash, I found Johnson’s made it worse!

Child’s farm stuff is really good. I use the baby moisturiser on her rash and the baby coconut oil on the dry patches and it’s improved loads x

I was going to say child's farm, it's lovely stuff, also Weleda have really nice natural creams and moisturiser for baby and olive oil and coconut oil.

Hi, so my baby had really dry skin at 6 weeks and the mid wife recommended aveeno baby emollient (navy blue cap) it was a godsend and works really well on black skin, I can confirm this myself. Hope this helps.

Hi.

I'm black and have a mixed baby. I dont know of any products that are better for darker skin tones over light. Eczema runs in my family. I've personally had good results with shea moisture and childs farm. Cetreban is good too but maybe a but more chemical based.

Weleda is really good gor sensitive skin and it does have calendula extract in it which is known to br anti inflammatory and soothing. If skin is super sensitive can try weleda white mallow. My baby has same problems so i tried many brands but this one us best so far.

Hi , Burt bees products are really good . Made with natural ingredients so great for baby's sensitive skin. A little expensive but it's worth a try.

Hi there,My son had terrible cradle cap and eczema when he was a baby and we used to use extra virgin coconut oil on his skin which really helped. Also oat baths (pop a handful of rolled oats into a muslin and tie it up at the top like a package, then put it in the baby’s bath water make a healing oat milk bath) were a godsend too. And, if you’re breastfeeding/producing milk, express a bit and use that as a topical lotion to any sore skin patches! Honestly, I know it sounds weird, but it’s like magic cream for baby eczema! 😌😂

Hey lovely.... I use Shea moisture baby oil.... it’s pricey at like £10 but I swear by it... they also the baby wash and shampoo too !

My two are mixed race, white British and Jamaican origins. We have used Baby Aveeno and Childs Farm on them with great success. The childs farm is good for day to day, the Aveeno for when they flare up with lumpy dry skin or eczema. If it is eczema you can get 0.5% hydrocortisone cream from the doctor, suitable for babies under 1yr old or 1% over the counter from the pharmacy for 12mths plus. We use it when it's really bad but find the Aveeno twice a day can keep most flare ups under control.
