My skin is terrible! Will this improve?

I'm roughly 12 weeks now and my skin is horrible! A pizza has a better complexion than mine! My face is covered in pimples and spots and is just not getting any better at this stage. I keep my face bare hoping that this will help but I am so tempted to put foundation on just to cover the redness of my skin. :-(

One of those many "Old wives tales" of pregnancy do suggest that you can possibly tell what the gender of your unborn child will be by the symptoms you get I.E, getting lots of Spots could be a girl.

You're doing the right thing by trying to keep your skin clear of any foundations or other make-ups but if you find you just cannot bear it anymore have you tried using a "facial steamer" . I believe all larger pharmacies such as Boots sell them on-line for a reasonable price.

Hey, Totally understand where your coming from :( Although my bad skin was all over my back and chest not my face, Luckily im 29+1 weeks now and it has calmed down alot so hopefully yours wont last. I also thought that i would be having a girl due to the old wives tales but i'm having a lil boy :) Good luck for the rest of the pregnancy xxx

Hiya.i was covered in massive spots on my back and i never had any spots in my life.always smooth nice skin until i got pregnant.that was the only symptom i had before i've done pregnancy test.i just knew it...i was embarassed to put a vest on lol.but it calmed down now (i'm 36weeks).its all to do with hormonal changes, probably diet as well.but i'm having a girl....:)

hey

Best thing ive found so far is to keep face wipes with me at work or baby wipes. I never had spots or 1 on the very odd occasion before I was pregnant then I seemed to have lots all on my chin and forehead. I soon discovered that the heat was making it worse hence the wipes I sit and clean my face during work when I get hot and fingers crossed since then they have minimised. perhaps try that good luck

Thanks everyone :-) I will persevere and try wipes too. I hope it's just a hormone thing and will pass soon :-| the steam thing is a good idea and my sister told me to get some pure witch hazel? Xxx
