There are no principles and that “no principle” is YOU! There is no way to life but “life” is THE way! All principles lead you astray as it is not you and anything coming from that “not you” can't become your principle…like alien cells your body is bound to reject it! All ways to life treat life as some external object “out there” so bound to lead one into darkness…the ways are in LIFE and the same life include “no ways” in it…this LIFE is its own supreme way…wayless way, a pathless path. It gives liberation of human consciousness. You are in prison. If you wish to get out, it is better to say you don’t want to be imprisoned and realize you are the prison and imprisoned. You can’t escape prison when your say you are free from prison. The tendency of human mind is to deny those things which are ugly. To hide those things which we do not want others to know. To hide in such a way, in such depth of the unconscious, we will become unaware of them. You will realize your superficial personality. We see clearly in our society at this point and time that people don’t want to believe they are born in bondage which is the invisible bars surround them. Awareness and awakening is the key but it’s a difficult task.
There are people who look for an ideology as an intellectual pursuit and find that there is none to look for, in Osho. They certainly wouldn't like it, because there is nothing to like or dislike in Osho. Osho has categorically stated that he is the last person to take a stand for any ideology. He keeps contradicting himself all the time. He used to be questioned about this trait in him and used to reply that existence is itself a contradiction, a duality. I am what I am today, at this very moment, yesterday has gone and gone forever. Existence being a flux, there is no possibility of any ideology taking root, except in the human mind. Osho consistently believed in the individual and not in any form of organisation, creed, sect or dogma. He firmly believed that transformation is possible only with the individual. His whole work is upon the individual. Individual literally means the undivided, integral, which is one and can not be two. He was of the view that blind beliefs and vested interests embedded in an orthodox society or religion tend to continue for centuries, without recourse to emancipation. Whatever Osho has professed in his discourses can not be an ideology in any sense of the word. Osho, has himself pointed out that “my words are fire, and I have put dynamite in between, I never take chances.”
Do not do anything merely for the sake of consistency. That is the shelter for fools and philosophers which are the same people. Never do anything just for the sake of consistency. This is undesirable since it limits experimentation and exploration. Action so as to be consistent with the past develops into a programmatic addiction. It freezes you into stasis, halting the evolutionary march of becoming. You should retain all power over current behaviour. None should be yielded to the past. Acting consistent with precedent is a form of death, and destroys all potential to grow into understanding. Remember, what is consistency? It means my today has to be obedient to my yesterday — that is consistency. My present has to be obedient with my past — that is consistency. But then how am I going to grow? Then how am I going to move? If I remain consistent with the past, then there is no growth possible. Growth means inconsistency. Your today has to go beyond your yesterday, has to be inconsistent with it, has to use it as a stepping-stone, has not to be confined by it. And your tomorrow has to go beyond your today. If you go on moving away from your past each day, you will be growing, you will be reaching higher peaks. Consistent people are stupid people. Their life is stagnant. They stink of death. They are like corpses: they go on rotting, they don’t live. Life is basically not a logical phenomenon but a dialectical phenomenon. Dialectics means thesis, antithesis. synthesis: your yesterday was a thesis, your today will be its antithesis and your tomorrow will be a synthesis. Again, your tomorrow will create a thesis and the next day an antithesis. and then synthesis — and so on it goes. You go on in a dialectical way. Life is a dialectical process; it is not a linear, logical process. Life is a contradictory process. That’s why I cannot define myself — because today’s definition won’t be applicable tomorrow. I cannot define myself because it is like defining a cloud or an ocean or a growing tree or a child. I constantly change, because change is the very soul of life. Except change, nothing is eternal. I am committed to change. Change is my God, because that is the only unchanging phenomenon in life. Hence, I call it God. Everything else changes: life changes, death changes — only change remains. I worship change. I am in love with it. I cannot define myself once and forever. I have to define myself each moment of my life; and one never knows what each next moment is going to bring. To be with Osho is to be in a constant flux, in a constant movement. Those who are not daring enough sooner or later have to drop out of this journey he takes people on with him. Those who are not courageous enough, who don’t have guts to accept the unknown future and to remain available to the unknowable and the mysterious, and who are in a hurry to have a dogma, a belief system, a philosophy — so that they can stop growing, so that they can cling to the dogma, so that they can become fanatics about the dogma; those who are constantly in search of a certain orthodoxy in which nothing will ever change — these are the dead people, cowards. They can’t become Osho people.
There is only one principle is to not to give yourself any principle so that anushasan arises in you. Anushasan is the rule of the inner that your whole presence your body-mind, starts behaving as one unit in harmony with each other and with that you are able to transcend the mind. Because following a principle and idea is not spiritual it is a limiting and misleading factor. Understanding is the right way. Each individual’s way of life is different, don't follow someone else’s way of life. The only principle or rule one needs to follow is how to become more aware. And that is possible only when you do meditation. The more you meditate the less principles you follow that are given to you by others (who is not you). The more you meditate and become more aware, you fall/rise in rhythm with yourself and life becomes creativity more rather than a dragging luggage. What you understand with same words is also different. Start trying to see beyond your conditioning, if you think something is right, understand from a different perspective it will be wrong, understand that perspective. When you know both the perspectives, both right and wrong don’t impact you and you move beyond your conditioning. And your perspective becomes the truth, all the principles of spirituality is based on this truth, so you will know then yourself.❤️
