Hi Sailor-Girl, this is absolutely not my kind of music but I do wholeheartedly agree with its message. Being yourself has to start with you and I think it's brilliant that finally pressure is being put on society at large to accept that there are many diverse ways of 'being you'.I have a trans niece who took so many years to feel able to reveal it that she became mentally ill. While her own mum never rejected her, even she felt some kind of societal guilt and embarrassment for having a child who had transitioned. When the truth was revealed and she found that we were wholly supportive, she relaxed as did my niece. The mental illness is gone, and so is most of the silly embarrassment. I'd like to say that the whole of the wider family and society is at peace with it, but at least it's moving in the right direction. Be you, live life and apologise for nothing! 👍😊🔆
