"Broken" shoulder.

I am not typing much today, as I have "disrupted" my Acromioclavicular joint in my right shoulder. (That is the joint that joins the clavicle to the scapular [collarbone and shoulder blade].)

I have been told to keep it in a sling for four weeks, and not raise my elbow.

It is not very comfortable, but I can type with my arm in a sling!

Snap [sorry bad pun] I received the same when I had a seizure on the day of a certain Royal couple's wedding in 2011, [I have JME epilepsy] I went down to my local 'hospital' where they x-rayed me, a couple of pain killers and shooed my off, "must see the wedding", 6 days later OOOPS! They rang me up showed the x-ray 'promised me' some physiotherapy? For 6 days I had a broken bone in my shoulder, of course all to late to heal, the shoulder joint 'pops out' at regular times, especially when wet weather, it can bloody hurt! I should have taken them to court, any time I hurt myself, I go the extra mile to another hospital, luckily five hospitals within a ten mile radius. That 'hospital' does not like me, the feeling is entirely mutual! Glad I got that off my chest!🥴

Sorry to hear that S11m, that's so annoying. I have a chronic impingement of my right rotator cuff which is helped by a certain exercise but if I do something wrong, it becomes quite bad again and can be extremely uncomfortable. I hope yours heals well and quickly and is not too limiting.

The injury was the result of a fall, but I am thinking that some of the exercises I was doing might have not helped.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
