Hi I went and had my first covid vaccine, all was fine until around 8-12 hours later - I’ve developed a lot of symptoms that people aren’t having - I’ve had constant headache and sickness feeling and also head pressure when I stand ,finding it hard to warm up and also can’t sleep 😴 so I overall feel horrible could anyone lmk if they are experiencing these symptoms after the vaccine as my health anxiety is telling me I’m having an allergic to it 😢

You can have generalized body reactions after vaccine 1 or 2. You just have to ride it out. Drink plenty of fluids and rest

Hi Lukew20, if you believe that you are experiencing post vaccine allergy on this scale, you must seek proper professional help without delay. We do not possess the clinical expertise to offer you help. Please seek such help as soon as you can.

Hi, I know that I have several med allergies and so took an antihistamine before my vaccine but still had a reaction of numbness on the right side of my face plus my lips and inside my mouth a little. It didn’t last long and I got nothing else. I’ve heard quite a few getting headaches, shivers, fatigue etc and as others have said drink loads of water, ring the Dr to let them know to be sure and rest up if you can. You can ‘yellow card’ your reaction so that it is recoded for vaccine development purposes.... you’ll find the process online somewhere through a search and it’s anonymous.

All the best

Ali

Hi. You may be having some side effects, but allergic reactions usually happen wthin minutes of the vaccination. If you are still concerned you should get some medical advice.

I hope you feel better soon.

I had my vaccination at my local surgery and got a leaflet to say if I had any concerns to contact the surgery or 111.

Hi, I had my vaccination a month ago. Most people appear to have minimum side effects but some of us including myself experienced all those listed symptoms and more. I also had pins and needles in my hands and feet. I was quite unwell for 4 days and just had to take to my bed. I woke up on the fifth day as bright as a button with no further symptoms. I understand that a reaction like this shows the vaccine is working well. With hindsight, being unwell for a short period of time is a small price to pay to secure our safety and hope for the future.

Don't worry too much, go with it, rest, take some panadol and remember, the side effects you experience won't last forever!

Cheers.

C.

Hi Luke. My hubby and I had uncontrollable shivering (teeth chattering) like rigors but without the heat. That had passed off by the next morning but then we had bad headaches and a bit of nausea followed by feeling completely exhausted. That went on for about four days and my hubby was then feeling OK but I had a lot of muscle aching which I was putting down to something else but realised eventually that it was all to do with the vaccine. It took about a fortnight for me to feel back to normal. I took Paracetamol which really helped.

They probably won't 🤞. I'm just that kind of person who normally reacts differently to medications that others and also I am on medication for another problem so it may be something to do with that. As I said, my hubby was OK after about four days.

HiMy friend's husband had the same reaction as you and he's absolutely fine.

Take care and stay safe Lynne
