I just booked my vaccine appointment! I get dose 1 this Wednesday! I've been nervous about it, but right now I'm so excited it feels like Christmas Day. Got an email they had just changed criteria today so I went online to local pharmacy and was shocked I actually got an appointment. π

LMD - congrats on your appt!!
depends which vaccine you get - but if it's moderna or pfizer - it sounds like very few people are having any adverse reactions on the 1st shot...
i can't speak to the other vaccines; havent been following them as closely...
I have 26 days till I get my second jab, and on the same day I have a pre op assessment appointment for cataracts removal.... Iβve been waiting since November 2019 for cataract op!
Ah, so glad you'll finally get your cayaract removal. I remember when you were told how long you'd have to wait. It's about time. π
It'll be Moderna. My parents got it and did well, but felt a bit ill after 2nd jab.
ah moderna - that's the one i got almost 2 wks ago.
it seems that if people suffer any ill effects - they are most likely to experience them on the 2nd shot. however - most people experiencing effects - they are usually limited to fatigue. on average, roughly 50% feel some level of fatigue after the 2nd shot. these effects rarely last more than 48 hours.
Iβm having my second AZ jab on Wednesday so will be thinking of you. Di
Good luck!
I'm really pleased for you lmd and hope that all goes well.π€x
Will do.
Best of luck with your jab!
Best to you and congrats on your appointment! I know how difficult it is just to get the appointment. Had both doses of Pfizer. For 24 hours after the first dose I experienced a slight headache and body aches/fatigue. The second dose definitely brought more fatigue/body aches, and minor pain at the injection site. After 48 hours though all was back to normal and so glad itβs done.
Update: Dose 1 was fine. Sore arm. Felt ill for 2 days. Next dose coming up May 5.
