Today- technically yesterday... now 12:10 am- I had my second Covid Vaccine. I arrived early, for the appointment, and was Away about half an hour later- including waiting for Fifteen Minutes 'Just In Case'.
Apart from falling asleep, during the Queen Concert (it's recorded anyway) and, just perhaps, a little stiffness/ soreness in my arm.... I'm fine.
I didn't even have to cook, my neighbour Michael (the one that I often cook for) gave me some- rather pleasant- Stir Fry.... a Gingery one, with a chicken breast on top. (Can't be 'bad', can it?)

Hidden No unfortunately. I am not allowed to have the flu jab as I had a bad reaction when I had it the first time. When I rang up to see whether would be allowed the Covid jab they said I could only have the Astra which had been jn our area the week before but because of supply issues for a month it was the Pfizer one. A lovely receptionist made a note on my file and rang and got me an appointment when the Astra came in but of course I am behind my husband now.
I was very ill afterwards my blood pressure soared to 200 over 110 and they kept me there for an hour and told me to go straight home to bed and complete rest for a few days. I have never had such a bad head and never moved from my bed for two days as couldn't stand up for any length of time as felt so ill. I must admit it was a couple of weeks before I felt at all right. Hoping like my husband there are less side effects with the second. Strangely I know many 75+ who apart from a slightly sore arm had no side effects.x
HiI'm so sorry you felt so rotten after your jab. Some of our friends had bad reactions but were fine with the second one. We were advised to take paracetamol before their jab, they did this and were fine. Good luck for you have yours. Please let me know how you get on.
Hidden My friend had her second jab on Friday and said she took two paracetamol and slept after feeling really ill and when she got up she was fine and several friends have done the same and were fine afterwards. Unfortunately, I am already on a cocktail of drugs and one has paracetamol in it so can't take any additional but I did tell husband to do that and apart from his bad nose bleed and a sore arm he has been much better this time. I am keeping my fingers crossed for when it is my turn.
You are like me re meds, I'm pleased your husband has been much better this time and your friend was ok too. . I only had a bit if a headache and ached a little first time and nothing second time. Hubby felt wobbly first time but nothing second time. I did read if you haven't had much outside contact you probably won't have side effects. I had to isolate from March 2020 but hubby has worked all through in a prison so I don't think we can tell who will be affected. Our son Ian who has Crohn's and is on immunosupprents was fine. Just waiting for our Mike to be done and Ian's girlfriend Chantelle. Hopefully we will get to see Ian and Chantelle in June/July π€π€π€π€π€Wishing you luck for your jab.
Lots of love and hugs Lynne xxxx β€οΈπ€ππ€
