Hope you've all had a good day so far. Hubby and me visited the garden centre this morning and purchased some sunflower hearts and fat balls for the birds and also bought some seeds for the planters that my hubby expertly made last year.
When we got home I went out for a walk, it's been dry here day so far, and did get blown about a bit but it was still enjoyable.
I walked 10.67 miles and 21305 steps.
The top left photo is the leaves appearing on a tree, so early, and the bottom left is of a tree in some woods with blossom starting to appear on it.
I hope that you like the photos.
Stay safe and well and plenty of hope is on the horizon.

Hi Jerry, thank you and it really is waking up, there are buds on so many trees here. I saw loads of blossom on a tree last week. It was really light last night, it was past 18:00 before it started to get dark and I didn't need a light on at 07:00.
It'll be great seeing things grow and we'll be planting within season this year.
It really is a windy day but dry which is the main thing.
Take care JerryππππββοΈπΆββοΈ
Always enjoy looking at your photos - very uplifting.Certainly windy but didn't put me off going for a walk either despite being so exposed where we live.
In a few months time we'll be able to get lunch at the garden centres, the ones round me serve nice food!

Thank you. It's so easy to say let's just stay in it's cold/windy, the trouble is you'll never get out and once out there you feel so good.
Oh yes, that's really something to look forward to, the simple things in life mean a whole lot more now.πΆββοΈπββοΈπππ
You and me both!π My true passions. Before mobility was an issue, I used to spend hours walking in the countryside, just losing myself and any worries, being one with nature! Can't do that anymore but hope to be able to get back to just short walks, or even steps!
Even just getting out for a drive in the country and pulling over somewhere nice and getting out to take it all in lifts the spirits!
Hopefully it won't be long till this is possible.
In the meantime I am cheered on a daily basis by 'my' birdies. And last night a family of otters squabbling outside my window! Xxx
We have a greater spotted woodpecker on our bird feeders now. So handsome. The posts are now smeared with grease and mustard to stop the pesky squirrels. They don't like this on their paws, so works well.
Oh wow, that's amazing to see such a bird on your feeders, we've hardly any birds on our feeders and haven't had many since the pandemic began last year, it's really strange. What a good way to deter the squirrels, a kind and humane way to deal with it.
Beautiful photos. Yesterday was dry, warm, sunny and windy here nr Cambridge so hubby dug over a large patch on veg plot, to prepare for planting his spuds! Today he will start running the cultivator over the soil to break it up as still warm and sunny. π He can feel the digging slightly in his thighs, but he's really fit... Lucky man. π
Thank you Diana. What lovely weather you had yesterday and to start digging the garden ready for planting, a sure sign of Spring. My hubby planted carrots in one of our planters today. I'm so glad it's still warm and sunny for you today, what a bonus.
Well done to your hubby and I'm glad he's really fit, what a bonus.ππππ

I do miss the odd day but not many I have to sayπΆββοΈπΆββοΈ. I won't be out tomorrow as I'm going to see my daughter and help here with little one who's due her fortnightly jab, her hubby is away working. It was lovely going to the garden centre, we haven't been in a while and hubby planted carrots in one of our planters today.
Thank you KoKo, it's not been sunny here today either and also very windy but mainly dry, just with the odd spot of rain. ππππ xxx
Oh most definitely and I saw blossom on 4 trees today, I'm happy with that. Definitely good riddance to Covid and well done to the scientist, NHS and volunteers.ππππ
