There have certainly been some fierce showers today, fortunately for me they were mainly this afternoon as I met my sister in law for a coffee this morning. I walked into our city centre, might take longer than cycling but much safer in the strong winds.
I only got caught in one very brief shower this morning but a couple of heavy ones on my way back this afternoon which I didn't mind as at least I was on my way back home. Exercising for pleasure really does help with mental health and I count myself as so fortunate to be able to exercise.
I walked 28,253 steps today which equates to 12.21 miles. I took the photo just outside of the village, it's where I walk regularly through woods.
Have a good evening all and stay safe and well.

Terrible day here yesterday afternoon in south east with thunder and driving rain and hail!! Water just poured from the gutters. Luckily dry during the morning. Bad crash a.m on main road and air ambulance had just landed when OH went to town. Scary as I use that road most days.
I'm so sorry the weather was so bad in the South East yesterday, I hope it's not been as bad today. It really is very scary when a road you use frequently experiences a very bad crash.
Glad to hear you enjoyed meeting up with your sister in law for a coffee, and well done on your mileage and steps. Really good! Lovely photo too - a great view.
It was really good meeting her, I'm so glad I walked, I feel so good for it.

Thank you Jerry, thought I'd take the photo on the way home to show the countryside where I live.
I do think if it wasn't for keeping fit my mental health wouldn't be as good. I think it's good to open up and say how you feel and I can honestly say that with the exercise I feel really good. Exercise is certainly powerful.
Now relaxing watching TV and eating dark chocolate which I love.
Thank you Bobby. We do seem to be experiencing a lot of wet weather is the UK at present, I hope we don't have weather like we had last year where it rained all Autumn and Winter. Fortunately we had showers yesterday so I didn't mind too much as walking in showers is so much better than continual rain.
Thank you Big_Dee, you are so right as exercise does help a lot and you do tend to forget the worries of the world and sometimes pain. It's so good for the mental health.
It was rather windy but when walking that really isn't a problem, now if I'd been on my bike it would have been scary in the traffic being blown around.
Thank you, I hate just staying at home unless I have loads to do like I did at the weekend and batch cooked.
