My husband fits the bill of someone that does this when my insomnia is at its worst. I guess he’s my true/bestest friend. 🤗💜
My true friends are the few who have got up in the middle of the night (after a telephone call from me) they may have said a rude word down the phone, but then come and helped.
Yes we are. 🌺💜
A true friend will see the person, not the health issues they may have, someone I've known since my school days only sees my health issues, she's said hurtful things to me about them, she's also deeply upset me over her lack of knowledge of dementia which took my mum, my great aunt and aunt by marriage from me, so she's no longer a friend, just someone I've known for many years
I think a true friend is one who is as happy to be by your side both in sad times and happy times. One to whom you can reveal your fears and won't judge you but accepts you for who you are and doesn't want to change you. One who would wipe your tears of sadness and love your tears of laughter. Who only wishes you well. I am so lucky to have a friend like that. We have both been through bad times but still have the ability to make one another double over with laughter. I was blessed the day we met.
A friend (or a good spouse) is someone who knows that you are not perfect - but still loves you.My late wife had a nice car - and I always drove it carefully - as I thought that, if I damaged it I would not be welcomed home.
