This morning's quotation is short and to the point. It's about being true to who you are, and has been attributed to Oscar Wilde, though some dispute it was him. Quite honestly I can imagine him having said this though, and if it wasn't him, it was someone equally witty but to the point!
"Be yourself. Everyone else is taken."
It's true. So many people try to be something which is really a facsimile of someone else. Quite often someone they admire. Which is understandable but doesn't work well. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but it always ends up showing as imitation. Far better to know yourself thoroughly, and at your core, be true to who and what you are.
I hope this will be a good Saturday for everyone!

I am often questioned in my Mother’s country for not being married or having a job
It saddens me many times when my own Mother tells me at fifty I am unmarried and unemployed
But as I am beginning to find my own feet I realise we can only ever be our own person
The flowers are illustrative if this point
Both my Mother and her sister have great artistic flair but we all have a creative talent that it within us
I am slowly realising that I have been a child even at this age to my parents and may be this will explain why I was not ready for many job opportunities which passed me by
We all have our life with our own lessons to learn which will shape us to what we will become
Strength of character really comes from our own inner strength
May be as I am becoming much older I appreciate the independent spirit of my Father who could have been an incredible mentor to me
But this is something I will have to do by myself
Again to be ourselves and to know being ourselves is good enough
I think whatever age we are we are a child to our parents.
It is your business if you are married or not. Whatever the reason you should not be defined by your marital status. We have to learn to be comfortable in our own skin.
