just home from volunteering @ animal shelter - had a GREAT eve...
1 cat in particular kept me laughing... check this out - couldn't use my garbage bucket all night!!!
then a kick butt rockin song on the way home... was dancing in my car whole way home!!! feeling so jazzed!!

was great night - i was practically mauled when i went in the cat room...
and when i finished workin; a noobie came up to me, and she would not leave me alone. when time to leave, i scooted away to lay her down - she was half laying on me... and she immediately got up and settlted into me again before i could get up!!! didn't wanna leave! sooo cute, so affectionate!!!

Hi lol lovely cat and story I'm glad your enjoying it it's a lovely rewarding thing to do I took 2 ferrel kittens in they were dumped out about 3 month's old I had then 13 and 15 years they were always timid of humans except me really but I never had many people at my house, it took 6 months before they'd let me stroke them, they used to sleep on the bed with me, if a cat hasn't had human handling within 6 weeks it becomes fearful and so it was a challenge and I was told they'd never become lap cats the boy did become one and his sister used to sit next to me, I have pixie now he's 6 take care hugs from Mandy and pixie 😸😊x

I have been looking after a feral cat for eight years,, she at last virus into the kitchen to feed as long as the door is wide open brrrr de had a well padded kennel in the garden, but as for stroking her or touching her no chance

start out by being in the same space with them - at a distance they can tolerate. get some long poles to tie a toy on the end. experiment w/ different toys; and try to engage them. don't be discouraged! it will take time. but sooner or later they will engage.
once they start to engage - think of the poles as extensions to your hands! gently pet them. as time goes by - shorten the distance and continue doing this. eventually - you'll be next to them - and in time, you'll be able to discard the poles.
this can be a very long process depending on how ferrel the cat is... but have patience - it will work...
Tried that she is too frightened. Got her in the bungalow once but such pitiful cries. So I came to the conclusion she likes living semi wild. She is well fed and has a warm kennel and that is how she likes to live. Mind you she is very clever if I don't give her the correct amount of dreamies her language is well beyond description
lol - i hear ya... maybe some are beyond full taming... but i do think if you keep pushing her limits - but only the tiniest slightest bit - i gotta believe it's possible to move the dial....
on the other hand - if she's happy as-is... who are we to disagree?

1 room has over 50 cats in it! it's a huge room with lots of towers, and hidey holes, and several windows to look out.
some of the cats are still scared of people, and huddle together - but most love interacting w/ people; and it's hilarious to watch them play w/ ea other!
several of the cats will try to play with you while you're trying to clean their area! some will talk to you because you're not paying them enough attention!

there's a young brother and sister tabby pair - they seem to never get enough play time!!

there's a torty female, and she can talk you hoarse! there's a lovey dovey long hair male who's always grooming his orange girl friend... but i guess i've gone on again! lol and i didn't even talk about the kittens.... o...m...g... you'd die!!!!

Omgggg I would bring them soooo many toys. I loveeeee cat talks like they vibrate their whiskers sooooo cute showing their little tiny teeth. You know Sonya, she always talks to the lizards in the backyard just waiting to bring back in the house a bloody tail 🤣🤣🤣. I get freaked out every single time 😂😂😂. Oh my my I would be in aweee n skip to my lou to pet all of them. What a beautiful place you get to spend your time there. Love Love Love 😻😻😻😻You did good Rob👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️xxx

speaking of little teeth... you know when a cat shows affection by doing... i call them flea bites - cause that what my dog did to me growing up... 1 of my home cats does that to me alot....
several @ the rescue do that to me too... i just think it's sooo cute!!
