Nightingale hospitals

In Kent we are hearing that ambulances are waiting up to 5 hours to unload , in Wales even worst . And Northern Ireland predicting the same .

So what has happened to the nightingale hospitals ?

Let me guess Boris and Hancock have closed them for Christmas so he can save money for the U.K. economy

Yes I was wondering what had happened to them. I think they closed one of the Northern ones?

We have wondered so often why they weren't using them. Weren't they supposed to be kitted out for Covid and if so, why on earth aren't they using them - they could be using the other beds for the surgeries etc that they are cancelling due to bed shortage, it just doesn't make any sense.

Absolutely! I wonder if they're still kitted out? What's happened to all the equipment?

I think so, we were cussing about this a few days ago. They spent all that money on them but I don't think they had the nurses - surprise surprise. 🤔😏

The Nightingale Luisa Jordan in Glasgow is being used for diagnostic and other procedures to clear backlog - certainly for now - and they say it can be in use for COVID in days if needed.

Well that's something at least. x

The one at the principality stadium has been moved up to the main uhw site and been rehomed in the old lakeside offices that were empty calling it the lakeside wing.

The London one at EXcel still exists but where are the staff going to be found from? If anyone saw the recent BBC 2 series Hospital you will understand what strain the NHS is under. You cannot magic doctors nurses and ancillary staff out of thin air. Another great example of the chaotic mismanagement of the pandemic by this government.

I don’t know how much us news you get but California is in much the same dire condition. They just ordered several thousand more body bags. I don’t know why it’s so bad there. Many of the rest of the states are staying steady or flattening the curve slowly

Absolutely MD, it's madness what a waste of money fitting out those hospitals (if they did!) and no staff to man them, it ludicrous! xx

Sounds about right for Boris!!
