A cure for hyperthyroidism, I'm really keen on tryitng this even though it sounds like a scam. It looks really appealing; you know? No more doctors; do it yourself: all you need is your original thyroid & $50 bucks?

Heck no that is creepy don’t do it dont don’t dont

Oh, steer well clear of that one GKeith. Better keep your $50, no matter how tempting a cure may sound. Always ask yourself why it isn't already a part of mainstream medicine if it's so darned good!😊

There are 2 cures for hyperthyroidism. Surgical removal of diseased glands or radioactive iodine treatment. I did hundreds of those surgeries on affected cats before I retired as a veterinarian.

There are ways to control the disease with medication to block thyroid hormone synthesis. In cats they now have a prescription diet that has a restricted amount of iodine that only allows the glands enough iodine to make a normal amount of thyroid hormone. There is simply not enough iodine which is a critical component of thyroid hormone to make excessive amounts of the hormone.

My supposition is any natural cure would be aimed at blocking synthesis as I mentioned can be done with drugs. However thyroid levels need to be closely monitored. Side effects are common.

All that being said my own personal first choice of treatment options would be surgery if you were well enough. I would recommend a highly skilled surgeon with a large amount of experience and success. Kidney function is a critical component of making any decisions regarding treatment options.

Good luck. Tony
