A few days ago we were talking about an illegal rave that 700 people went to
The local page of the BBC website is reporting that the organiser has been fined £10,000 which is the maximum he can be fined

Serves them right!
I really hope so the problem is that a lot of people truly still believe that the virus won't touch them and they don't care if it touches others xx
Let's hope it will be a lesson to whoever it is and others. x
I'm sure that stringent fines and publicity about them will discourage organisers of these illegal events. Serve whoever it was right!
That's good news
Not fined enough. Less than £15 a head from those that attended so the fine was more than covered in door money.
This is good Jennymary and sends out a strong message for others not to follow. 😊👍
Did you see the BBC pics of people in Soho having a last night out before lockdown - packed together like sardines and not a facemask in sight.
No! Just because lockdown starts Thursday it doesn’t mean the virus only starts to infect people on Thursday! Grrrrrr
When they fine these people so heavily, I wonder what happens if they can't pay? Like fining students thousands.
In Birmingham uk ....a smoking lounge was find £10.000 2 weeks ago for having over 100 people in there ....heard on the radio it was raided again over the weekend and fined another £10.000 for the same thing ....I bet they won’t pay any of it xx
