Here is my bike ride for today. That is the Pacific Ocean in Northern California. The tall trees are redwoods. Small ones. In another month or so everything will be dried up and brown.

It was finally a perfect day for a ride. The weather is improving so I’ll have an entire summer to look forward to.

One nice thing about our lockdown is that there are not many cars on the roads.

Beautiful! It’s raining here now before bedtime tonight.

I do like the rain. Somehow it is comforting. What do they say: Right as Rain?

Great photo Dave.

Lovely pic, almost thought I could see across the Ocean to Vancouver Island

Dog and I are developing webbed feet in southern Spain - worst April in decades, normally this weather is end Feb, early Mar

Lockdown for us means 1hr walks are not allowed, no more than 15-20mins now, we don't have the UK's 1hr daily exercise allowance

One of my 4 cats comes on these shorter walks even in the rain, the local cops think I'm a bit mad!

Stay safe

When I was a child I had a cat who used to follow me to school, he went as far as the main road then he went back home. My friends called me a witch, but he was ginger not black.

Wow. Being thought of as a witch could be fun.

We love Spain. We got to spend three weeks there a few years ago. Starting in Barcelona and wandering around from there. Lots of hiking and eating.

We were there for St. Jordi day (not sure how to spell it) that was fantastic.

The local and federal police were out in force and we spoke with many of them (us coming from an enforcement background) thought they were very impressive and friendly. I felt envious that they seemed so relaxed since not many really bad things had happened up to that point.

The food, and people are outstanding. The wine and cider wonderful.

I bake sourdough bread in a wood fired oven and was thrilled to be invited into a bakery that had a 25’ diameter oven. They said it was the oldest working oven of that sort in Barcelona.

Too bad about the restrictive exercise. That could drive anyone crazy.

I've always thought being a bit mad is a good thing.

I think so!

That's so beautiful daveh121 and would lift anyone's spirits. It must be much pleasanter for a bike ride with so few cars sharing the roads.

Sure is. That is one of my regular routes for exercise. We are too rural to use the bike for errands.

Looks like an awesome road for cycling. Reminds me of Sea Ranch where we spent time years ago. Good fishing off the rocks. Keep on riding 👍

Well, yes. We are about a half hour south of there. Good call on your part.

If you remember the Timber Cove Inn we are on the ridge just above there.

The fishing is still fairly good!

Cool. I've been fishing at Green Cove Sea Ranch and Fisk Mill Cove before. You lucky dude, you can get fresh Olallieberry Pie at the market in Gualala and peddle off the calories, outstanding!

Oh geez. You would mention pie. Now that’s what I want!

Fisk Mill is a great place, lots of peregrine falcons have taken to living there these days.

Sounds spectacular. I look forward to another trip up there from the south Bay. One heck of a beautiful area to visit. Your not too far from Pinot Noir country!
