I've had breast cancer in both breasts - if you are a bit more specific about what you want to know I will be glad to help you

Well, i have inverted nipples which leak and a mass in one. My mom and sister had it.

I would post Sherin on the driven show she will be able to answer you.

Why don't you look back on The Driven Snows many posts before contacting her she has some really detailed information about treatment etc on here, so sorry to hear that you are having to deal with thisxx

Hello!

Yes, I've received three breast cancer diagnoses: 2016, 2017 and 2019. The third time, I wasn't quite as lucky as the two previous times, as the cancer had spread to my bones and bone marrow.

It's pretty much everywhere now: along my spine, at the base of my skull, throughout my pelvis and hips, in my sternum and clavicle and shoulders.

Unfortunately, there has been a certain amount of mismanagement of the cancer I have over the years; apart from a slew of misdiagnoses prior to identifying what the problem was the third time, this stage 4 diagnosis might have been entirely avoided had the original course of action been observed.

My local hospice is largely responsible for palliative care (pain relief etc.), while chemo and immunotherapy remain the remit of the Oncology department at my hospital.

My GP also enters the equation at some touchpoint(s), though I couldn't really tell you where offhand!

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. I can't promise I'll have the answers, but I will listen and help you to find those answers if at all I can.

Thank you for your response. I feel very sorry for you. I feel as though cancer is everywhere on me😢. My family doctor is a poor physician.

Surely you are under the care of an oncologist? Once you've received a cancer diagnosis - primary or secondary - your oncologist will be your go-to medical caregiver for anything directly or indirectly related to the cancer. Your GP will, of course, remain on hand for all other medical issues, but I've found that my GP, for instance, frequently defers to my oncologist or my palliative care consultant at my hospice either because he considers himself to be out of his depth or because he prefers that I am accorded a certain consistency of treatment that his intervention would not necessarily provide.

You say that your doctor is a poor physician. Remember that you have the right to ask to see a different GP at your surgery. You can also opt to switch to an entirely different surgery that serves the catchment area in which you live.

When you say you feel that the cancer is throughout your body, is your supposition based upon verified evidence provided by scans, biopsies and bloodwork?

I am unclear as to how you would like me to help you. A little more information would be great 🙂

Thank you for your response. I am unaware of having cancer(s). My breasts i am pretty sure of. And i still have another test for lung cancer. I just have too get a mamogram done.

Afternoon!

It's important to take your suspicions seriously: that's the responsible approach, but please do wait for results of any tests in the offing before assuming the worst.

When are your scans and tests to take place?
