Advice please

I had an e consultation with gp on Thursday about my left foot & was told it was a result of a bite (she said she got some help from another gp). This reply was from looking at photos & asking questions ( I would have been happier seeing someone in person). Told to rest & try not to walk on it - how am I supposed to get around? Hop or become a flamingo & stand on one leg. Have been given antibiotics for week.

Anyway I would like a second, third or the more the merrier replies & give me advice
