That is smoke not fog. Drifting around from the nearby fires. And that is on the light side.
At least the bike ride was nice, a little on the short side but the air will improve as time goes on.
Still no mail today, none for about 10 days which is fine. They are just bills anyway, right? Due to the road closures.
The roads are starting to open again so we did a supply run to town.
One and a half hours one way. Makes a long day, spent a lot of money, and filled the truck with groceries and building materials. So we are good for a long while now.
More garden work tomorrow.

Hi
I'm pleased that you are getting back to some sort of normality. I do hope the smoke lifts soon. I'm glad you've been able to get groceries and building supplies. You also need to take some rest now .
It is a thick haze of smoke and the smell will linger, when do you think the smell of smoke will finally disappear. Are you looking at weeks or months. How fast does the vegetation start to grow back. That is a long trip into town, no wonder you stock up. Glad you enjoyed your bike ride and I hope you postal service starts getting through soon. 👍🌈
Phew!!! Glad you all made it! Beautiful, atmospheric photo belies the recent horrors. Good luck.
There is a sort of horrible beauty in this picture daveh121. Even in the midst of catastrophe there are moments of calm and beauty and this picture demonstrates that so well. There must be a collective sigh of relief now that gradually, life is able to return to some kind of normality as you experience the calm after the storm.🙏👍
I'm so glad you got out on your bike, that's a bonus and I thought that it was the residue of smoke in the air. I hope that clears pretty soon as the sky looks beautiful.
Sounds like you are well and truly organised for any future problems with the fires, I really hope that doesn't happen.
What a striking photo Dave! Regret so much the heavy smoke in your area and hope it dissipates soon.
My daughter and family live in Boulder, CO. She and a friend take frequent long hikes and have been seeing smoke from wildfires in the distance for days on end.
Glad you have more supplies and groceries in stock. Stay well and safe.
