I would like to explain my Mother injured her foot yesterday as a result of her foot being caught in a large stone due to a construction vehicle mounting in the pavement Her foot has been bandaged and she has had a Tetanus vaccination
She takes few painkillers and complains she is in pain
She complains she is cold as may be it is cold where she is
I am far away but her illness and behaviour does cause my anxiety and lack of confidence to worsen
I wonder what any one can say ?

Hi. I would say it's extremely difficult for someone to give accurate advice with so little to go on.. If your mother has troublesome symptoms, I think the best thing would be if she contacts her local doctor or healthcare services. Then she can get proper care and find out if she needs any further medical input.
Thank you. I am just very tired today. I have an acquired brain injury and I have terrible fatigue which is much worse on some days, so I have just had to rest today. I hope you are keeping well. 🙄🌸
Hi Roukaya, its upsetting to hear that your mother has hurt hurt foot. I can understand why that would cause you to worry, especially as you are so far away.
But from my experience, I would take reassurance in knowing that.
1. It was a mechanical injury. Basically that means that it was caused by an accident/collision and not a collapse.
This is good because it means that the focus of the I injury is the injury itself.
2. She must have been seen and assessed by someone medical because she received a tetnus shot. So if someone examined her they would have ruled out any need for x-ray or further investigation.
I know it's a worry and I know it's horrible to feel so far away but with good nutrition and rest the wound (I presume it's a wound because of the tetnus shot) will heal. It just takes time.
So try to think about all of the reassuring things that we know as fact. Your mum is ok, she has a wound which has been treated, she has received care, she has a cousin nearby if the wound needs a follow up and wounds do heal.
Hi Roukaya, for anyone, what happened would be a bit of a shock and a knock to confidence. The only advice you can offer your mum is, if she is not feeling herself, to seek medical advice as because she has suffered an open wound, there is always the chance of an entry for infection. 😊🌸
I’m presuming your Mum’s foot was X- rayed? Bruising can be painful and takes a while to come out. Best that she consults her GP if things don’t improve after a few days. Wishing her well😊🌈
Hi Roukaya, It would be silly for anyone so far distant from your mother to guess at her diagnosis or offer advice on her injury. You'll probably find that, even though she may be concerned about it, and your distance from her at this time, she will find the care she needs, and be treated, and will most likely make a full recovery from her injury.
I think you should stop worrying, after all, there's nothing you can do from here.
If the foot is broken she would have told you, Bruising is minor, but there must have been a cut to require a tetanus shot, I think she is trying for attention and bigging it up.
Yes, I think she has seen her poorly foot as a chance to regain more control over you, by keeping you worried over her condition. I think I have her measure now; she needs to be the centre of attention, and like a toddler, will kick up a scene until she gets it.
My daughter is the same; currently she is not speaking to me because I dared to move away. She doesn't need me; she's controlling, just like her father. She is married with a good husband and child, she doesn't need me.
I even offered her the house when I was moving, and she refused, they are in rental accommodation. I was going to Give them the house. Her loss.
The foot injury might be the obvious result of the "fall"... and I hope we could assume they checked for other bruises, concussion etc. ... but there might be a chance of spinal missaligement... which could make (parts of) her feel cold?
