Another cycle ride

Hi All

I had an early opticians appointment and when that had finished decided I would cycle into our city centre, get a few things and then cycle back home. I put my sourdough bread in the oven, had lunch and then went grocery shopping this afternoon so a busy day.

I cycled 24.4 miles today.

Hope you all had a good one.

Have a lovely evening.

Alicia :)

You have been busy. The pony looks cosy in his coat.

So peaceful! Do you mind me asking how your visit to the opticion went? Did you have to wear a mask.? Mine is overdue and I must make an appointment.

in reply to RoadRunner44

Thank you. It went well and they didn't enforce wearing a mask but I only thought it fair as they were all wearing masks, it wasnt a problem.

Cracking photos crazyfitness. Funny you should mention your sourdough bread, I was in Morrisons on Friday and there on the shelf was sourdough bread . My daughter was with me and I told her all about you making it and all your cycling to get certain flour through lockdown . I had never heard of this bread until you posted it 😊👍

in reply to Buddy34

Thank you Buddy. I do like some of the sourdough bread in the stores but mine has to be spelt but I really enjoy it.

Maybe you could give it a try or even make it yourself, Doves Farm have a couple of excellent spelt sourdough recipes. Guess what I bought today out and about, you've guessed, spelt flour😉👍

Lovely photos as always. You are very talented!!

My hubby needs to go to the opticians, , did you have to wear a mask? I had to wear one at the dentist, just had to remove it while she saw to my tooth. Take care and stay safe Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

in reply to

Aww thank you Lynne.

I didn't have to but I thought it only fair to wear one as all the staff were wearing them.

I'm surprised you had to wear a mask to the dentist. We have dental appointments the middle of this month.

Alicia xxxx🌈💜😊

Yes, it was very good, really. As a patient I wasn't allowed to touch anything, one of the receptionists took my temperature outside. When I was allowed in she pressed the liquid hand sanitizer , I just held my hand out ready. It was just so professional but friendly too . Xxxx❤️🤗🌈💜

That's really good, they had it well organised xxxx💜🌈

That is just nice! Sounds like a good day to me.

I had my ride, foggy and cool. Then did more prepping for our fire season which can be nasty.

Mainly checking the fire hoses, connections, laying everything out, and running the water pump.

The weather and fire folks are saying that July will be hellacious. We shall see, but it is good to be ready, even though it’s a headache.

This stupid virus is annoying enough, but now we have to think about fires also.

in reply to daveh121

It really was thank you.

Oh my, you have a lot to think about and agree it's enough to think about the fires let alone the virus.

in reply to

I totally agree with you. To be thinking of both must be hard. Xxxx

in reply to

It really must, can't imagine it xxxx💜💜

It is annoying to have to think about it. I’d rather not but that is what needs to be done.

Tomorrow will be another nice ride. Warmer too which will be nice:

I hope that you have or are getting out on another lovely ride today Dave. I've not been out today as it's been thick fog here all day so firstly not what I would call safe and secondly we had the grandchildren overnight and they didn't go back until around 14:30/15:00 today.

I'm hoping to get out on my bike tomorrow.

Alicia :)

Great. Nice to have the grandkids I bet. We have two sons, no grandkids, but we do have a grand dog. Sort of a knuckle head.

It’s been clear and warm here so the riding is good.

Hope your ride was outstanding.

in reply to daveh121

Thank you and yes it really is and they were as good as gold, in fact the youngest one who's 4 has asked for another sleepover. Nothing wrong with a grand dog, animals are so rewarding.

Excellent weather for you. We've had a very mixed bag of weather for quite a while now, in fact since the lockdown was lifted - typical.

The ride was good thanks.

Happy riding.

Cycling is great for all sorts of mental disorders. I cycle from time to time. I need to do it more often. SAMSON

in reply to Strongest123

I couldn't agree with you more, it certainly makes me feel a lot more positive when I cycle, you can go such much further on a bike. I actually need to do some strength exercises as I'm rubbish at exercising indoors although the gyms will open soon and I'll be able to go there when I can go outside.
