Hope you all have a good day stay safe ,everyone on tv mentions heart disease and cancer but you don t see much about lung disease so it's good to have this support group. It can be a lonely frightening place to be .So it's good to chat .Stay positive ,stay strong Love you all x
I agree. It can be very lonely especially at night with a tight chest and no one to talk to. Even some people close to me don't understand the seriousness of it.

Pleased to hear that you've had a positive experience within this community and that you'll continue to do so. It's true, I seldom hear much about lung disease specifically mentioned on TV and I think it's all down to how well support organisations manage to publicise and gain support. There is the British Lung Foundation, but it does very seldom seems to seek much publicity. So I guess the main thing for you is to find your own support network and if this is it then we're delighted! Take care and have a good day. 😊🙏

Yes, you are right, you don't really hear about lung disease, it's not very well publicized in the media. I don't really know why that is. It's prevalence must be up there's with heart disease and cancer, so, you would think you would hear more about it on the commercials as you do for heart disease and cancer's. The good thing about this site is there are many people with many conditions that come together on the one site for support and to be part of a caring community during the pandemic. 😊🌼
It is so strange I never thought of lung disease till I got diagnosed with ild and didn't realise how serious it is so there should be more education out there. As I like a lot of people only thought about cancer or heart disease being the killers . But onwards and upwards stay strong Hugs Judi x
