I’m weaning down on prednisone for PMR and at 2mg. I’m 68 and doing fine. Body complaints but I won’t mention them because the good outweighs the bad. Have a wonderful day to anyone reading my post! May God give you the strength for the steps you take today!🌹♥️🌹♥️

Hi Heinrich7 It is great to read your positivity! It is very motivating. I'm so glad you are feeling good and are able to wean down on your medication. I hope you continue to feel great and thank you for sharing your optimism. Have a lovely weekend!
Put the bad stuff to the back of your mind and forget it Heinrich, concentrate only on going foreward, thats what I do, too many medical problems to mention!
Very well done Heinrich7
I always feel good with myself when I can stop taking a medication.
I was on Prednisolone / Prednisone for twelve years, l eventually managed to stop in 2019, it took me from January to December. I had a few hiccups (flair-ups) on the way and had to start over.
Prednisolone has given me so many bad side effects, cataracts, weak bones (osteoporosis) , exceptionally thin skin, moon face, large tummy, fat across my shoulders, the list just goes on.
This year l have managed to stop Gabapentin, so very happy about that.
I am in less pain now after stopping this medication and my swelling of my feet and ankles has almost disappeared.
Most medications are toxic to my body unfortunately.
Again, well done! Best wishes, Tim.
Thk u Tim! Great you are still on here. Yes i am diagnosed now with osteoporosis. Have only been on prednisone July of 2018. Weaning very slowly. Taking my time. 12 yrs a long time. Good for you!
