Decluttering (again), washing and some cleaning, had a phone call just after 9.00 this morning from the council to see if there's any help I need, I said someone had rung about 2 weeks ago, but I was told by the lady who rung this morning he hadn't recorded the conversation!!!

The picture is the apricot/almond cake from the market last week, 2nd one still in the freezer

Collected a prescription, got a takeaway latte, watched the baby moorhens on the river while I was drinking it ,cleaned out the rabbit hutch ,put up some new curtains.

The cake looks absolutely delicious.I bought a piece of home made rocky road with my coffee but kept it until I got home and shared it with hubby.

I used to have pet rabbits many years ago!

We adopted a rabbit called Benjamin over 20 yrs ago (a friend's daughter lost interest in him) and had them ever since. Our latest, Dylan is quite a character-I post about him occasionally.

Hi Jennymary ,

It sounds like you've had a busy day today. It's good to get more decluttering and washing done for the day. I love how the cake looks in the picture. Very lovely! :-)

My day has been busy, but going well. I had breakfast and lunch, did some texting with friends and my brother, went on the computer before and now, did some replies and messages on and off HU, checked my phone to see if the phone company can let us get/receive calls and text messages (there was an issue after dinner last night), voted on the newest poll for the group and left a comment and closed the windows in the computer room so the pollen doesn't come in. I plan to try and do a rough draft for the July Reading Rabbits book posting and work on the newest word scramble puzzle posting for the next day, do some reading before and after dinner tonight, watch TV and listen to some music before going to bed.

Have a great evening, Jenny. Stay safe.:-)

The cake looks very nice. I haven't been anywhere today. Just doing household chores, walked the dogs. Been on here. Phoned the family. I have been waiting for a thirds season of a series on Netflix and I'm not sure if it's out today or Friday so I will have a look later. I've been waiting a year for it. Will have some dinner soon. Hope you have a lovely evening. xx

Hi,

Are you waiting for The Sinner? If so it will be Friday. I've bought the chocs in ready.

Yes, I can't wait. I will have to get some treats in for Friday then. I'm counting the hours down. xx

Definitely love the look of that cake Jennymary!

I haven't been extra busy today. I made a frittata for our evening meal which we had with new potatoes and a big salad and as well as some time here in the community this morning I emailed my friend as I usually do daily.

I'd have liked to make some kind of bread today but it was hot in my apartment so I gave in to slothfulness!

Well done on your decluttering and that cake looks yummy. Shame the Council didn't record the conversation from 2 weeks ago.

I've not done a lot today, the weather has been up and down, but am planning on doing some cooking tomorrow.

Have a lovely evening.

Stay safe and well.

Alicia xx

It amazes me how places like the council and the police always manage to be so nice in spite of being under so much pressure

Had my usual daily walk at lunchtime today after I had finished on future learn, listened to music, went and bought fish and chips from the chip shop for my lunch which I enjoyed, applied for 8 jobs and read my current book insurgent by veronica Roth which I am enjoying so far.

Today I did it. Finally came out of hibernation and went to a shop! Only me in there, owner so kind and helpful. Gave me a couple of free face masks when I went to buy a packet and said if I needed some more sandpaper to go and knock on the door and they would open early for me. Aren’t people lovely!

Well done you for going out, and how nice the shop will open earlier for you if necessary

I envy you decluttering, it's always so good for the soul. As we downsized not too long ago and had to loose some of our furnishings etc. there isn't much that I can currently clear out.

Before Christmas I did seriously thin out the decorations and sent them all off to the local charity shop who decided to do a window display with them.............perhaps I should be looking to buy a few more!
