Willow on the roof

Good morning from Willow.

Here she is on the roof of next doors out building. She is pretending she can’t get down. Surely if she got up there she can get down? I had to help her down in the end. Could she have got down on her own do you think?

She looks like she’s thinking, Yikes it’s a long way down there!

Willow almost looks a bit camaflagued with her stripes blending into the roof slats, maybe that's way she likes to be up there!

I've never understood why cats struggle to get down from places they had no problem jumping up to either. Our cats do that as well!

Hope you both have a lovely day!

Oh right. So maybe she couldn’t get down. She’s never been up there before I don’t think?

Yes with my help. She probably wanted me to get up there with her, knowing her! 😂

It is a lovely photograph, I think she may possibly have got down. They are very clever at working things out. 🌼🌸

She doesn’t normally go up there. Unbeknown to me she might get up and down from there all the time! Haha...

I suspect she does. 😂😱

How's your cat getting on?

He's fine, he is always up on the roof. Naughty boy. xx

Willow is a clever girl writing her own post!

One year one of my friends who has a brown and white tabby called Percy who is the same age as baby our ginger tabby had sent me a Christmas card and had left Percy off there and I had asked her where was Percy as she is part of their family and then I was given a card from Percy herself!

Up until then I had never received a card off a cat before!

Awe that’s so sweet. If I got a card from a cat or dog I’d keep it forever! I have a few presents from Lola...💖

A dog barked at one of our cats when it was barely more than a kitten - and it got stuck about thirty feet up a silver birch tree.

After a few phone calls the RSPCA got the fire brigade to come out with their telescopic ladder (and it was on the drive when my first wife got home).

Haha! That’s so funny! 😂

Haha oh really. Well that makes sense. She was pacing up and down! She’s having a day of it. She got stuck up there and also early this morning about 5 o’clock she obviously caught something and brought it in the house and I’m yet to find it 🥴

Now I would say she could get down but it sounds like our cat Dave (BTW, we didn't name him, the veterinary practice our daughter worked in named him, he was a stray ;) ). Our cat pretends he cant' open doors but he can, he likes to wait until we open it for him. Aren't they funny. :)

Well I have to say since her daughter Indie passed away she really is making good use of her hooman servants. Mind you shes taken on a new lease of life we never saw much of her and now shes like my shadow! I think Dave is sweet for a cat, Phil's children had a rabbit called Dave. I knew someone whose cat was called Jason and one called Simon!

in reply toAgoodenough

They really are funny the way they behave and if something happens how they can change. Our Dave is Jeff's shadow.

Don't you just love it when animals are given such, what would call, strong names.😊

Yes I do. If I had a boy cat now, I'd call him William and he'd be very posh. William Posh Paws that has a nice ring to it 😂

in reply toAgoodenough

Ha ha, now I live Willuam Posh Paws. Think ours should be called shadow, talking about following you around😂😂

It's easier to climb as the view is nowhere near as scary as when you turn around to come down. 😨

Ooh that's a good point. Which is why when you're climbing up they say dont look down 🤔

Oh my goodness. Your old cat was very clever. They must be smarter than we Give them credit for. Mine comes back to the sound of a Tibetan bell so I dont have to yell out the door for her. Which is all very Zen 😂

Hi Ali. Willow is of course able to get down. This is a nice little attention seeking trick, isn't it? I remember when my children were small, their crying because our cat was 'stuck' in a tree and they wanted to call the Fire Brigade. I made them shake the cat food box at the foot of the tree, and sure enough, when she got hungry, the cat practically ran down the tree trunk! Naughty Willow! Nice try though! 😃

Hmmm that's not good, cheeky cats. They do like to keep you on your toes!

I've had a word with her about it and told her everyones comments and shes looking rather embarrassed!
