Hi all
Hope you are all well and having a good day so far. I wanted to get the best of the weather today and miss the rain, I got caught in a shower about 4.5 miles away from home but it wasn't too bad.
I cycled just over 30 miles today which I thoroughly enjoyed, I just wanted to carry on forever.

Hi Alicia, Just thinking about you and your cycling. Did you enjoy cycling as a child? Or did you taken up this serious cycle riding later in life? Just interested to know, as so many children enjoy their bikes and cycling when young but don't always continue with it later on. Lovely photos as usual. It certainly helps to cycle in areas like this.

I had a bike when I was a child and when I got married I bought a bike and would use it to cycle in to the city centre. The children came along and I didn't cycle for quite a while but used to take my girls on fairly long walks. When they got older I started riding again as well as walking. I started back at work when the girls were old enough, in 1995 and have been cycling ever since. I've been cycling a lot further since the lockdown and will continue.
It really does, the countryside is wonderful, I didn't want to stop.

You certainly must be so physically fit Alicia. We all know the importance of exercise and healthy eating so you would have set a fine example to your two daughters.

I didn't get very wet at all as the shower didn't last too long. There were certainly a few clouds around.

Thank you and it was fantastic, I honestly didn't want to turn around and go back home. I could honestly have cycled along the road forever.
I didn't get very wet at all. We have heavy rain now and it's set in for the night and tomorrow morning.
