Good morning everyone,

Here we are at the start of another week with its blank page to begin writing on.

Today's quotation's come about because, yesterday, I'm sure many of you will have noticed that things got a little heated around here.

Our lovely oasis of calm, and raft on a stormy sea, turned into a maelstrom of controversial opinion.

And it's not what we are about here. The clue is in the title of our community. It's meant to be a haven and a help for anyone who has struggled or is struggling with the realities of coronavirus and the pandemic.

There are many forums which can be visited to express more forthright views but this is not meant to be one of them.

Could we maybe stretch out a metaphorical hand of friendship to each other this morning and return to our little island of calm?

Here's my contribution to that, a verse from the hymn, Let There Be Peace On Earth:

"Let peace begin with me.

Let this be the moment now.

With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow

To take each moment and live each moment, in peace eternally

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me."

Have a happy week everyone. πŸ™

A very apt hymn, with beautiful words. The camper van is great.πŸ‘πŸŒΌ

That van reminds me so much of my misspent youth bobbybobb. I did my nursing training in the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps in the1960s. You know.... doing my bit in service to queen and country. Only trouble was, we were all hippies at heart, supporting CND and one of us had a camper van very similar to this when I was posted in Germany. When we could get a couple of free days together, a group of us would take off adventuring, and sit around huge campfires, singing protest songs about nuclear disarmament and the Vietnam war! How crazy was that? Fond memories though! πŸ˜„

I echo what you said Hidden and very well said. This forum is here for us to support each other, share tips and ideas on what to do during this very difficult time, to listen and help those that need support and to post positive photos/drawings and the like and maybe just to talk about how we've managed through this crisis so far.

Take care and stay safe all.
