I had my assesment for pip today was earlier in time as they found me a lady instead of a man which was good of them . She was a nurse I was told after as family member asked . Also her manager was listening in to which I agreed . She was nice enough polite and was straight to the point . I explained all I could had help as didn't understand so questions with big word so she made them simple but asked in the assesment again which I gave her the same answers I think , it was long I was getting tiered she supported me saying we are half way there which was reassuring me but I just wanted to go bk to bed as my head was hurting alot to much information and pressure to me all in 1 go . She kept on going ect was still asking away I did get a Angry at a point as I gave her a answer to me in my head it was right but she asked are you sure I said yes I told you I can count she went on to nx question trying to remember items from the start but I think I said them right anyway all was ok my family member did help as my memory not good at all due to a TIA dont help . At the end the manager came on asked me more questions which I answered honestly she said that I need a appontee she said as of help nx time on the phone . What does that mean ? So at the end said I get a letter in next 8 weeks from pip to say if my pip was awarded or not so fingers crossed . A huge thank you for everyone s help I'm calm now not anxious happy to have it over now . The assesment took 1 hour n 40 mins long time so many questions about me but I'm happy in bed now having a sleep as it was a bit to much as no rest last night so nite all xxx be safe n love each other xxx

Hi Wolf221400,

Oh you must be so happy that's over! It's such an ordeal isn't it. But you've done the best you could. What the manager meant by an appointee is that it would be useful for you to have someone else appointed by you to help during any further telephone conversations. This can be a friend or relative but also, if necessary, a solicitor or other legal representative or someone from an official organisation such as a charity.

Wishing you all the best for the award of PIP in a few weeks. 🙏

Oh my dear, I am going with what Callendersgal said, it is so stupidly stressful and I had help to get through mine and I am actually up for renewal this year! The more help you get the better. They do say the first can be the worst and I hope you got a good nights sleep xx
