This was what I had for lunch today. It was an open-face sandwich. It had crunchy peanut butter and strawberry jam with fresh apples and strawberries sliced up. I had gluten free bread. Everything was really good and I will have it again in the next few days.

For the junk food people I learned on a rafting trip that hot Cheetos, mustard, and peanut butter also taste good. They donβt seem to taste good at home though. You have to be on a river.
We were in town and had nice tacos from a take out place for our lunch.
We are in for a prolonged hot spell. A bit early in the season for us. 95f or so for several days with dry lightening and the start of our fire season.
It's going to be a little cooler here where I am, but then get warmer as the rest of the week goes. 70 degrees today and then upper 70's to low 80's the rest of the week coming up.
That's great to hear! The best part is, you can either do one type of fruit or mix and match with different ones and add jam and any type of peanut butter for smearing on the bread slices. Enjoy!
That looks really delicious and you wouldn't have believed that was GF bread either.
I made some more peanut butter yesterday so I'm a happy bunny.
Mouth watering, facinating how people never think of fruit for a sandwich. In my young days we used to have lettuce and sugar sandwiches. Like my mum I still eat banana or apple sandwiches.
My mom does banana and peanut butter for herself, but she knows I can't have the bananas since it's too high potassium. I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for a long time.
Thank you I did not realise bananas were bad for blood pressure nor many others I guess . Doctors even advise bananas instead of potassium supplements. Its like gout it is made worse by certain foods i.e brown bread but this bread is supposed to be good for you over white. Good food diets are not simply a five a day thing are they?, some of us have to eat what is best for our health issues.
That's right! I can have plantains, but no bananas, no big regular oranges, but small oranges are okay. I can have grapes, strawberries, peaches, plums, cantaloupe, watermelon, kiwi, etc.. I can't have grapefruit or grapefruit juice. No orange juice, either since they can interfere with medications I take and can cause false over dose. None of my doctors had told me any of this when they put me on any of them years ago. I had to be told by other people or read the information that came with the medication.
Thank you for saying that, Hidden . I will have to try it for a dinner sometime.
Our dinner is your tea if I remember right when I use to go to the state's . As I remember ordering Chicken Crispers and chips and forgot your fries are our chips
