Today for lunch, I had a Cheese Sandwich with mustard. I had a small orange on the side. This had 34 carbs.. It was with gluten free bread. Very good. :-)

Sounds like a lovely lunch Leah and the orange did well on the vitamin C front :)

Thank you for saying that! I love eating oranges with some of my sandwiches that I have here at home. Since I don't drink orange juice, I buy the small oranges to eat.:-)

Oh I'd rather eat an orange than drink the juice, far better for you. A well balanced lunch😀

Yes and also less potassium! Small oranges are not so potassium filled for some reason. Never knew that until I was told years ago about it. :-)

I didn't know about that with the little oranges, I love the small ones😋

I found out from someone that had blood pressure issues and said if you have been on blood pressure medication, don't drink or eat the big oranges. Just eat the small ones! :-)

That's very handy to know, thank you. I'm not on medication but hubby is

I have been on medication for a long time, but my doctor never said anything about it.

Maybe the doctor didn't actually know tends to be more a Nutritionist that would mention it I would have thought.

It’s easier when you have other issues anyway.

What type of bread do you like for sandwiches?

I like sourdough or wholemeal and soda breads. I also buy some gluten free breads that I like. xx

There’s a few brands of gluten free breads I buy for certain things. Same with hamburger/hotdog buns.😀👍🌈

Hard to beat the good old cheese sandwich. Always my favourite! A well rounded lunch with your orange on the side! I hope you enjoyed!

It was really good! I love using mustard more now than ketchup since mustard has no carbs. in it. Ketchup has some, but not too many. :-)
