heroism... service

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others, at whatever cost.

such an apt quote. i very much feel that is true for the nhs staff and essential workers who are risking their lives everyday and serving for others rather than themselves.

Hi 4woody, Quiet heroism is all around us at the moment. I've never come across a true hero who set out to do what he or she did for publicity or gain, but just to be of service to his/her fellow human beings.
