What a difference a week makes

Hi everyone,

It seems crazy to look back on a post only a short week ago and to see that things are continuing to ramp it. It's pretty scary and I just have to keep telling myself that we're truly in this together.

I wish i had something profound to say but the truth is that I'm just posting to feel like I'm doing something and to read some positivity from others.

One thing i do know that helps is service. Whatever that is to you. So I managed to get a huge bag of flour and container of yeast and I'm going to be making lots of bread to drop off at my friend's and family's doorsteps.

Big hugs to everyone.

I feel 100% better now we are beginning to get clear instructions from government . I feel safer and more secure although all my work is over as I was mainly self employed and can't visit anyone but our health is more important .

What a lovely kind idea 😊

Hi Weeniedoglady,

I was just remarking in another post that actually we've adapted with amazing speed. I was watching a soap on TV in which everyone was walking around normally and congregating in the pub. I really wanted to shout 'what are you lot doing out and about'!

I so agree that any kind of service is always so helpful and can lift your own spirits too. What an absolutely wonderful and kind idea to bake bread for your friends and family. They are blessed to have you. Take care.

Hi Callendersgal,

I'm Canadian but I have watched Coronation street for years! I lived in Scotland briefly and got hooked. I knew that halting filming would happen soon or later but it's still sad! Luckily we've always been a couple weeks behind in canada so i have a few new episodes to go before we start getting repeats.

What show were you watching? Any good recommends??

Hi Weeniedoglady,

It was in fact 'Corrie' that I was watching myself earlier. I think quite a lot of people will miss it when filming ceases. I'm a fan of good comedy programs. I like lots of stand-up comedians, and sit coms. I'm watching a very funny (but a bit naughty) one at the moment called 'Breeders' on Sky TV . What else do you enjoy?

I watch a lot of different stuff....I love true crime shows such as 48 hours and 20/20. There are some good ones on Netflix...making a murderer, the staircase, unbelievable, and forensic files series. Corrie is my only "comic relief" hahaha!

What a lovely idea. You are very kind. Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx 😘

Hi Oldham! I live in Alberta, Canada. This whole thing has got me feeling quite lucky to live here as well. This virus is scary but I truly think the response our government has taken so far is with our best interests at heart and that we're lucky to not have cases like in Italy (for the time being-hopefully these draconian measures work).

Watching Trump and the news about the states seems scary to me...hes a dangerous man in times like these.

Hello Weeniedoglady- love the name 😊

Yes it's amazing how things have changed in just a week isn't it

I have to say now I've accepted it I'm quite happy pottering about

I loved the 95 year old war veteran who said in 1944 he had to go and do his duty and fight for his country and that we must all do our duty now and sit on a couch

It really hit home that we have nothing to moan about staying in our loveIy homes

I do find that there are goods things coming out of it all and to go and bake bread for your family and friends is such a wonderful thing to do

We haven't been able to get loveIy crusty homemade type bread for weeks now that is such a treat you will be giving everyone Can I send you my address 😂😂😂😂😂

Have a loveIy day and stay safe 🌷

Silly question but.... Is it the Dog that's 'Weenie', or you... Weenie-dog-lady, see what I mean? Probably the Dog, I'm guessing! What sort, by the way?

I'm Not into the 'Soaps', other than to wash🙄…. Though I do have that wonderful Hugh Laurie/ Omar Epps series 'House', along with all the Morse & Johnathan Creek.

I also have, large pack, of Hitchcock films, some I've never heard of 'Topaz', for example. I'm going to re-watch 'Vertigo' and Try to make sense, of the end.....

Enjoy your 'Weenie' dog, give Him/her a Cuddle from me please.
