I am fine, just us two at home and the five dogs. I run once a week at moment and try and walk the three older dogs for my exercise the other days. I did pm if you didn’t want to be too public.

What a beautiful flower. Thanks for sharing. Have you tried meditation?

Google Yoga Nidra, they have one or two guided meditations on there but they are not the only ones, just type in Guided Meditation (be careful not to sign up for anything though. Good luck. xx

Do you think you might like to try Couch to 5K running?

Many people there have found that running helps depression, and they are a great group, it's maximum 30 minutes 3 times a week, but it does help with depression and gives a focus to the week.

try heading over to the HealthUnlocked Couch to 5k forum and see what you think?

Thanks

Hi Flowerpower777,

Wishing you a very warm welcome to the Positive Wellbeing community. I hope we'll be able to help with your anxiety in some small way. So sorry you are feeling so anxious and depressed.

Is this just because of the current crisis, or have you been suffering this for a while now? I only ask because I wonder if you are currently having any sort of help with it. If you are, then do keep on taking any medication and keep up with any therapies you may be having.

What would you say are the things that are making you the most anxious?

I see that Jerry's given the same advice that I would, and that's to try to keep your thoughts as much in the present moment as you can. Letting them run on to worst possible scenarios can only make you feel worse and most of your worries won't come to pass anyway.

Why not to come and spend a little time here, where we are all trying to support each other to get through. You are welcome to let of steam as long as you keep it polite and there are others who will be happy to answer your questions and try to support you.

Please take care of yourself, and try to be as content as you can. Very best wishes.

I'm so sorry you are feeling so anxious, it's a difficult time for all and we all have our coping mechanisms.

There are free meditation apps you can download. Also, I followed a Programme called 'The Thrive Programme', I bought the book off Amazon for Emetophobia, fear of being sick. The phobia/anxiety consumed me but the Programme helped a lot. There are exercises in the book that you follow, it's very good, I'm a lot better.

Also, what helps me a lot is exercise. There are days when I think I'd rather just sit with a cup of coffee but as soon as I'm out walking/cycling I feel so much better.

Just to let you know you are not alone.

Take care and stay safe.💝

Etc, there are loads of different things you could fill your days with..they might make you feel happier and positive.

If you keep yourself busy and fill your life with purpose then you might find it to be a happier place to be.

Backintime mentioned couch to 5k, it's a forum on here where people learn how to run. It has changed a lot of peoples lives for the better.

Why don't you join the forum and see what you think of it with the possibility of trying it. It would be something for you to focus on and it might be just what you need.

Go on, look it up.

I wish you well..

Stay safe 🌈

Thanks for the beautiful picture. Excellent advice already given above, it's important to find a routine that suite's you. Find and interest. Be determined to stick to a daily schedule as having some routine keeps your mind busy and occupied. We are here also to chat and offer help and support to each other, so don't feel like you have to go through it on your own. 😊😊

What a wonderful bloom, love 💕 it. The garden is one of my passions, having said that so are many other things ! Swimming, walking, cycling and all animal’s. The downside to this is not now being able to participate in a lot off it 😢. This due mainly to my illness, and of course the virus 🦠 lock 🔐 down. However you really need to remain positive. I take time out in my room with music 🎶 for 2hrs everyday. Pan Pipes relaxing 😌 so many varieties.

Chrissie 😌💕

Hi Flowerpower. So sorry you are feeling so low. These are very anxious and worrying times for us all and if you are not well it is doubly bad. Like others have said, try to find some positives. Take each day at a time. That is so much easier to deal with. Watch a funny film, don't watch the news, read a funny book or listen to some soothing music, sit as comfortable as you can and try to meditate on something that you love, maybe flowers. They obviously give you pleasure. I hope you find something that works. X
