I was responding to someone who was talking about their dog and i realized that some more people might be a bit interested too,soo here it is, i hope you you enjoy the brief comment. Ah i have a retriever ,cream, she loves being brushed and lays like a spoilt rug while i lavish care on her.She seems to smile as i comb her with the rake. I could probably weave and knit a cardy ,well my wife could anyway! There is always a mass of soft cream white hair! I walk her in the morning at about 10.30am and feel like a proud parent when people comment on how happy and relaxed she looks! She is the most passive and soft playful dog i have ever owned.I have had dogs around me since i was a small child,i am 71 tomorrow! We got her as a pup, feeling that she would probably be the last one that we will be able to rear. She is five now and gives us a huge amount of pleasure. My wife always wanted one but all of our children were allergic to long haired animals, when they all left the nest, we got her. She has a pedigree ,but we wanted a companion dog not a show one. So there you have a potted version of our doggy life, i hope you dont find it too tedious. stay well and keep on keeping on, and wash your hands!!

That's lovely arrow. Keep her close and safe, they are so precious. x
I do,Its great when she finds the biggest dirtiest puddle then sits in it,people mutter who's having a bath then? I usually respond with "no black is her true colour, the dye is wearing off!ha
Our dogs used to love swimming, we used to plan all our holidays around them. We used to camp mostly then and if we went near the sea to stay, we would always make sure it had a fresh water stream where they could swim and remove the salt from their coats after swimming in the sea, they adored the water even the puddles. Good times. I envy you. 😊

Thank you Every day i wake up is special to me!!
Not tedious at all arrow1. I love to hear about pets. Yours sounds so well loved and beautiful too. I'm glad she gives you and your wife so much pleasure. No wonder you are proud of her. She sounds adorable.
I see you have a birthday tomorrow, so many happy returns in advance. I hope you and your lovely dog have a wonderful day.
How kind thank you, another birthday another breath!
We had a Jack Russel Cross/ Staffy He was a Pat dog in the Mental Health Day Centre where I would be in the Information Shop, People would come and see him every day and He would always be sitting on my knee. When we lost him we got our existing dog a Border Collie Cross, He just likes His walks and garden a complete difference to our first. He is extremely intelligent and seem to understand what is being said when people visit him.
In fact I do not feel He looks upon himself a dog, more a human
